Have you ever asked yourself what does "Health" mean to you? The World Health Organization (WHO) defines the health as "a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." but most of us unconsciously believe that health means not having any signs of disease symptoms.
The conventional medicine focus on the disease itself rather than focusing on each unique individual. We need to take more responsibility for our health and well-being by researching our health issues and not leave it to just the medical system to save us. At least until a more holistic approach is more common than a "disease-based" one.
This is not to mean in any way to discard medicine or medical research but to be aware of its shortcomings and being more proactive, conscious and responsible for our physical and mental wellness.
Prevention is better than cure.
It is easier and better to prevent any health problems than try to deal with diseases after they occur.
The goal of HealtifyBody is to be in-line with the above statement and encourage the others to do the same.
Being healthy has so many aspects to it, even though many of us only focus on physical well-being.
Health is not just about eating the right foods or having a balanced nutrition or physically being active.
It is also about how you breathe, how much you avoid or limit the toxic chemicals and pollution, and how you think and feel (maybe the most important but overlooked one).
It is not an easy task as we are not programmed to take any responsibility for our health but I hope this website will have some contribution on changing your thought patterns and on healthifying your body, mind, and spirit.
